I am the owner of Lake Road Electrical, and both UK & NZ fully qualified electrician with over 15years of experience in the industry. I’ve had the privilege of working with many locals in their homes and businesses across Auckland and particularly the North Shore.

My wife & I started Lake Road Electrical with the intention of working locally with a focus on residential service & maintenance and servicing local businesses.

My journey began in Wales, UK where I was born and qualified as an electrician with distinction. I met my wife Nada in Australia and we moved to NZ in 2015 and called it our home. Our family has expanded since and we now have two beautiful children.

I have extensive knowledge and experience in the residential, commercial, and industrial electrical sectors. I love serving residential customers, and serving in our local neighbourhood, sharing my knowledge and experience. I know how the right electricals can make a big difference to your home, both aesthetically and for safety, and to your lifestyle and wallet. But most importantly we’re passionate about educating homeowners of the importance of safety – which I believe is paramount but often overlooked.

I highly recommend Lake Road Electrical. Lewis arrived quickly to give me a quote for a number of electrical jobs in my home. He was friendly and gave good advice.He installed an induction cooktop, a wall hung tv, fixed a socket, added a socket and replaced some light fittings. He and his team mate came on the Friday before Christmas and I was very pleased to have everything finished before the holidays.They were very friendly to my children, who were curious of their work.Lewis also went above and beyond and helped me fix a leaking pipe which he found under the house when installing the wiring, I couldn’t get a plumber to come, being the Friday before Christmas.He finished on time, was clean and tidy and a very nice person to deal with. I was very pleased with the results and the price and will definitely use him again and recommend him to my neighbours and friends.

We saw an ad in the local paper for upgrading our fuse board. We phoned, and got a prompt response from Lewis, with an inspection, followed by a quote, and a subsequent visit to very efficiently install a new up to date fuse board. Lewis explained exactly what the new fuse board would do in terms of safety, and reassured us as to the safety of our existing wiring. Lewis is a very personable helpful person to deal with. We would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who needs electrical work done.

From the moment we met Lewis.... (he was so thorough with his initial consultation) we knew he was the electrician for us. Nothing was a problem and we can be demanding. We had a complete rewiring of our 1911 villa which was long overdue. I saw Lewis's advert in our local paper regarding replacement of an aging switch board, which was a job I had been considering for some time as my original 70's switch board has had many additions and alterations to it by numerous electricians over many years. Frankly it looked like a hazard waiting to happen, however the potential cost was a determent at the time. The advert spurred me on to take action and I contacted Lewis to come and have a look at the necessary work. At the same time I was doing some alterations and also asked Lewis to combine relocation and addition of new outlet sockets and even a new data cable run for an access point. From the first meeting I was really impressed with Lewis's attitude, professionalism, knowledge and presentation. Throughout my dealings with him these qualities remained at the forefront of his work ethics and approach. Timeliness and communication where other quality amply demonstrated throughout my dealings with Lewis. The switch board replacement was not straight forward due to the location I required it to remain in and the number of circuits etc required. Lewis tackled the task without fuss and fanfare. The final outcome was exceptional and I am so grateful I saw the advert and took the time to call him. I can honestly say Lewis is an example that all trade men should set their standards to and I cannot endorse more strongly that engaging Lewis to conduct any electrical or data cabling work on your property would be the best thing you could do. Additionally he charged a competitive and fair price for his work.
